UPDATE - Delivery of Court Notices to Canada Suspended

Tuesday, January 14, 2025

12/20/24 -The United States Postal Service suspended mail service to Canada due to ongoing national labor actions between Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers.  Please be advised that since November 15, 2024, notices that the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) has attempted to deliver to Canada are being held at the Canadian/United States border, stored in secured containers, and will not be delivered to intended recipients until after the postal strike has concluded. Please be advised that Canadian recipients have not received electronic notices through the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) because electronic noticing through the BNC is unavailable to international recipients.

1/14/25 - The United States Postal Service has accepted mail from the BNC with a Canadian recipient address since December 17, 2024. The Bankruptcy Noticing Program is unaware of any rejection of mail or delays in processing these notices to Canada. However,  there will be delivery delays into January 2025 as Canada Post works through the backlog.
